Early Orthodontics

Your child’s teeth begin to form before they are born and as they grow and develop it is important to monitor the alignment of their teeth so any abnormality can be detected and corrected in its early stages.

It is recommended that a child’s first orthodontic check-up is at around age 7, which allows for early identification of potential problems. This can also minimise the need for extensive treatment in the all important teen years.

Children’s facial bones and teeth develop quickly. Early orthodontics can straighten teeth, guide emerging teeth into their optimal position, correct bite problems and even prevent the need for tooth extractions.

To ensure your child’s teeth are developing correctly, schedule an appointment with the Integrated Dental Team.
